Intro Intro Introducing:: She by Sheree

Despite all the rumors about Mrs. Sheree Whitfield robbing Peter to pay Paul she was able to debut her fashion line titled: "She" !! During season one of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" she tried to debut her signature line but instead of going the professional route she let "Bonkeisha" sew her garments; and she ended up with a "fashion show with no fashions" <----Classic line from Dwight Eubanks!!

On her big night Sheree received support from fellow cast mates as well as some of the ATL's elite such as: Kandi Burruss (formerly of Xscape), Angie Stone, and Bobby Valentino; just to name a few. Ms. "I need 7 figures" looked stunning in her turquoise strapless dress with gold and hot pink sandals. But that nappy a*s ponytail was straight out of the wardrobe archives of the movie "ROOTS"!! Aside from that I can honestly say I like the look of her line. She has some couture pieces as well as your everyday chilling on Peachtree St. gear!
Take a look at what She by Sheree is giving. I wish her much success and hopefully this lines pops off Worldwide and not only in the "A"!

I got 99 Problems....

But my KICKS AIN'T ONE! Now, everyone knows that Sir E goes innnn on a nasty high-top! I believe that the high-top sneaker is the epitome of all sneakers and absolutely looks great on ANY PERSON a lot of people! On one of my recent "Swipe-It Saturdays," I was approached by my favorite sales clerk at @ TOP SECRET Exclusive shoe store in the D.C. area (which shall remain nameless) with a Black/Red Supra! I have never really been a fan of Supras (mostly because of the wide look -- very reminiscent of a DC Shoe which I have plenty of) but when I saw this shoe, I became a believer.
Meet the Supra Society High Top from well-known professional skater (and Daughter Simmons ex-boo) T.K.! Oooh Weee! This shoe is definitely dope and is set for International Release on May 17th! But as sure as your toast is buttered KK'ers, I copped this shoe this weekend and have had them on since my BWI outbound flight (easier to leave thru that airport because the paps don't usually camp there)!
The collection will display a couple of colors and palette choices so I suggest you check them out over at SUPRA's website when you get a minute because only a limited amount will be sold at certain stores throughout the U.S. (Air Yeezy Jr.???)! I'm just tryna put you up on game...

"Kiss" me thru the phooooone!

Fashion forward Divas of today know NOT to leave their homes without the lip gloss! Your lips just have to be poppin'!! We even have a trademark song by Lil' Mama (Lip Gloss) letting men and women of the world know the dynamics of the lip gloss. But at what cost?? People tend to think the "better" the brand or the more expensive the product the better quality. ANT ANT AN...WRONG!! I personally am in love with the "Liquid Lip Smacker" by The Bonne Bell Company. This small in-expensive gloss currently comes in 8 different flavors and retails at about $2.75!! What makes this gloss a hit in my book is that not only does it glides on smooth, it gives me that wet, glossy, chicken grease (LOL) look I like without the white cruddy build up in the corner of my mouth, all the while smelling delicious!! Contrary to what you may think this delightful niddle gloss also is enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe. My favorite glosses thus far are: Pina Colada, Vanilla, and Cotton Candy. Which one do you like??? For additional flavors and/or to make a purchase check out the website.

Long hair, don't care - ANYMORE?

Seems as though the springtime is bringing about some changes! People are starting to let go of old habits and trends. I for one, like to keep things the same. I am a stickler for a routine and a certain normalcy or regularity, but hell, I'm about as anal and OCD as they come so don't mind me! I recently got a call from one of my life long friends asking me if he should cut his hair (his hair has been a niddle longer than shoulder length since I met him). Spring is upon us and everyone knows that Summer is making her way down the street, so with the heat about to rise up, there's no better time than now! But before you do decide to get rid of the braids and turn in the ponytail for a Caesar, Sir E has a few tips to help make the transition easier!

1) Don't go from long to short immediately! Be "ADVANTAGEOUS!" This transition is a great time to try out some new styles that may require some hair! So start out by cutting about 1/3 of your hair off; try twists, short dreds or even a curly fade! U never know, you might find your look...

2) Please make sure that your line up is done correctly! One of the most important things, especially for a man of color, is to have a sharp line up (Line up = Edge, Tape, etc depending on your region). This is imperative if you decide to cut off your hair because once people see you, this is the next thing that they will look at (the first will be your bald @ss head!)

3) Make sure that you start to get rid of the dandruff about a month before you cut the mane! I mean, dandruff may not be as noticeable under some well-maintained hair, but believe you ME, when you get that egg-PEALED, all of that Arm & Hammer will show up (AND WILL)! I recommend Pantene Pro-V's Conditioner for W.O.C. (still wishing they will change that title to People of Color) in the brown bottle to help with that! Please don't be in the barber's chair making it rain, cause who ever is next will have to request a thorough cleansing of those clippers!

If you follow these steps, you should be good to go! Personally, I have been thinking about switching it up myself for the summer! I ain't mad at "Bentley's New Do" either!

A painted MUG gathers no HATERS!

And that wonderful aroma would be the Coastal Scents website! This makeup site I personally love for getting my experiment on for cheap. They have sooo many colors and finishes that you can have a field day on there. If you love eye shadow color, but don't wanna spend a c-note on expensive azz brands *cough*MAC*cough*, I recommend the 88 eyeshadow palette.

It has just bout every shade known to man and is more convenient than having to buy 88 dang colors separately. I love "playing" in the palette cause I can let loose and a have a chance to create tons of color combinations and looks. (Some looks don't make it out the house but hey, I was having fun. LOL!) And the best part honey, it only runs you $21.95!! Even Chris Brown couldn't beat that! Pissed! I paid $40 for mine a year ago. Clearly I didn't get the memo of the falling prices. Boo! But a word to the wise: the shadow can have a high fallout (fallout=shadow that "falls" off lids easy, thus color fades) so make sure you prep the eye area with a good primer. (Miss Elle uses Urban Decay Primer Potion. Love it!) But anywho, the Coastal Scents site gets 2 freshly filled Acrylics up! Check out the site and all the good deals they have for their different makeup items. Tell us what you think of it!

A Public Affair

C'mon Miss Romo Simpson dishing out the hotness!!! A loyal KK reader submitted this treat and you know Miss Elle had to read all bout it! This here is the "Genaviv" heel from the Spring '09 Jessica Simpson collection. What really got me with this 4" heel is the intricate detailing with all the squiggles and stuff. Ka-Yute!!! Definitely a stand out shoe, these are meant to be a main attraction, so make sure to go simple on the 'fit so that the shoe takes center stage!

The Jessica Simpson "Genaviv" is available at the Jessica Simpson site in a bevy of colors going for $89.00.

Bootie, Bootie, Bootie, Bootie Rockin Errywhere!

I've been seeing these oh, so lovely shoes pop up around the fashion world and wondered to myself, "What are those marvelous works of art?" Well, this here ladies and gents is the Givenchy Birdcage Bootie and it has taken the fashion world by storm!
These delights have been seen on the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Kim Kardashian and KK's own D'Maine Truth and are a coveted shoe this season. Yes you heard me right, at $365.72 a pop, these are already a HOT item!! And clearly you can see why. If I didn't have anything better to do with my paycheck this month, I would most certainly purchase these!!

But since I'm something like a bargain diva, here are 2 options for the Givenchy that are more in a reasonable price range for our thrifty folks.
The Givenchy Birdcage Bootie is available at Endless.com for $365.72. (what's with the .72??)

*Wink* Wink*

For most of us, a basic makeup regiment includes a few swipes of a good mascara because we all know, there's nothing more perfect than a girl with a lovely set of lashes to bat! With this in mind, I had high hopes for trying Cover Girl's new Waterproof Lash Blast. I adore the regular formula, so I just assumed that this would be even better. But would it pass my rigorous 2-Step test??

1) Low Clumping.

A light coat gets the job done with minimal clumping. You certainly can layer this mascara (I do about 2-3 coats) on for a higher impact look, but be ready with an eyelash comb to combat some clumps. But nothing too out of control cause there's nothing I hate more than having a lash with excess residue. Bleh!

2)Minimal Smearing.

In terms of smearing and smudging, this mascara also gave me a strong performance. I noticed slight under-eye smudging but that was after wearing the product for over 6 hours. Which is still a bang-up job for mascara in a sweltering club setting. And the eyes were still on point!

So did this new formula deliver?

And DID! With CG Waterproof Lash Blast, I got jet-black, perfectly popping lashes that gave me a great curl all day long! While this product offers very good length, it is also truly volumizing mascara that does a great job of plumping up that lash!

Overall, I think CG’s Waterproof Lash Blast is a top drugstore performer and I’ve given it a loving new permanent home in my makeup kit and 2-Acrylic nails UP! If you’re looking for a more dramatic, heavy-lash look and a great price, I highly recommend this mascara. But a word to the wise: this mascara is for those that want the BOLD look! I usually use this as an alternative to wearing false eyelashes, so expect high drama eyes. I do not recommended for a daytime look, unless you like strolling around looking like your hitting the club all the day long, which is a no-go! This product goes for about $8 and can be found in your local Wal-Mart, Target and other retail stores.

Make room "Boyfriend" Denim, here come the "trail-Blazers"......

April showers not only bring May flowers, they're also tagging along old trends with a new look! The Boyfriend Blazer is making its "debut" and celebs all around are taking advantage of this new trend. Pictured left is High School Musical's young, promising star Vanessa Hudgens putting her spin on a black "boyfriend" blazer. This very sheek look is not only a new trend for the nightlife...they can also be incorporated into your corporate career. You see, the "boyfriend blazer' is just a longer and sometimes more slouchy and unstructured version of your fitted blazers; this look is actually derived from your man's suit coat so you can actually go in your Booski's closet and grab one and make it happen! It can be worn with a pair of Skinny Jeans or tights, over feminine dresses (preferably one-shoulder for the Spring), with a skirt and Cami (preferably a shorter skirt that hits you above the knee), and even a graphic tee. This look is sure to turn heads and keep you one step ahead of the game.  Don't believe me? Check out any fashion mag!
